Hello friend!

I’m so glad you decided to stop by and hope this is the beginning of a strong connection.

Life has a funny way of working things out, eh?

When I was younger and pondering what I wanted to do for my career, I knew that I wanted to help people live their best lives. I thought that meant I was destined to be a counselor/therapist, so I declared my major in Psychology at Colorado State University and knew that I would eventually be grad school bound.

But life decided to do its thing, throwing a series of curve balls – some completely unexpected and others the result of decisions rooted in youthful inexperience – and I ended up working on a path that was more of a hybrid between social work and public policy (and everything in between).

I LOVED my work – probably more than was healthy, if I’m being completely open.

And that unhealthy imbalance slowly started to eat away at my overall well-being.

I kept acquiring new prescription medications to mute the signals of distress that my body was sending (all fully legit and endorsed by my doctors).

But nothing really worked. My sleep was interrupted, my joints hurt constantly, and I was a walking ball of anxious energy for years.

YEARS.

And then, my brain exploded.

I mean, I suppose that’s a bit dramatic, given it was “scattered, small volume subarachnoid hemorhhage” likely* due to a leak rather than an explosion, but you catch my drift, yeah?

* We’ll never really know because according to multiple PubMed studies, in 95% of benign perimesencephalic subarachnoid hemorrhages, the source of bleeding is not identified and thought to be a result of venous bleeding.

Anyway, back to life life-ing…

My point is that 21 months after my stroke, and nearly 30 years after my initial career aspirations were forged, now I really am set to help people live their best lives with the creation of Elementum Wellness!

It doesn’t quite feel real, but you best believe I’m leaning into it.

I look forward to connecting with you and learning more about your struggles and desires, figuring out how my services can help you gain that forward momentum and catalyze real, lasting changes for your over all well-being.

✨Stay magic ✨,
